I had #1 bars before the RCD. I wasn't running a sway bar though which was the main reason I went with #1 bars. They rode just right without the sway bar, but with the bar on they were a little stiff for my liking. They did let me gain an inch because I was able to crank them higher but that left me with no down travel and totally obliterated my balljoints haha.

I had B bars.....now I have #1 bars.....and i must say...
THAT I LOVE THEM!
I too don't run a sway bar..and doubt I will. The truck rides great. I can't wait til I get some decent shocks up front...right now only one is doing anything that it should...the other is stripped at the threads not doing anything. just jinglin' in there. lol.

Under SPR, 2002 should have a 2-character code like FK or 1C. First character is the front coil spring or torsion bar; second is the leaf spring code.
Here's a summary of the springs that were listed for TB Rangers in 2003. Other late models are probably similar:
Torsion bars
(code / combined capacity / approx. bar diameter)
1 / 2900 lb / 1.09"
B / 2710 lb / 1.06"
F / 2510 lb / 1.03"
Leaf springs
(code / combined capacity / pack thickness at axle / number of leaves)
C / 2750 lb / 1.82" / 4
F / 2600 lb / 1.64" / 4
K / 2550 lb / 1.60" / 4

We used a big C clamp and air tools to take mine out. I think you can get them out using the big c clamp and hand tools....1/2 drive for sure.
