I checked my door tag and the code was 1C. So I guess that means I hace the stiffest springs possible. My truck is mostly stock with no lift or anything. It is a 4.0 4x4 supercab. Do you think it is worth it for me to downgrade to B bars?

so are new "B" bars really only 60$ a piece? Thats cheaper than aftermarket keys to crank up sagged bars...

11kk means I have #1 bars I think. Not bad for a "value package" 4x4 Ranger

YEP! #1 bars, and K leafs. If you got the towing pkg, you'd have C leafs i believe.

I have BBCC, this truck rides really smooth (almost luxurious compared to my Mustang). On the plus side the balljoints aren't being worked hard.

My 1C rides stiff as a brick. I feel every bump or crack. But it corners and handles very good for a truck. I still have the factory front and rear anti-swaybars on it.

I'm replacing my #1 bars very soon. After 100K and being maxed while wheeling for the past 3 years, they are sagged as low as a 2wd. I miss the height i used to have.
But a quick question, say someone were to have a adjustment bolt that is, curved after the "nut" in the cross member, [ok ok i bent it wheelin' and it's bad] How would one get it out? I'm thinking take the pressure off the bolt, and heat it up, and just impact it off. Right? I'm sure someone has seen this before

you might be able to get relieve the pressure enough to just remove the bolt with the piece it goes into still attached... if you can get a puller or a c-clamp to tighten the bar down enough you might have enough space

Any idea what the interpretation for the coil spring code(s) are? Bob?

I was blessed with a 2wd XLT and am curious, after reading this thread... I believe I have EK as my SPR code. Thanks. Are there different coil spring codes? I know fabtech has 2 different coils for the 2.5/2.3/3.0 VS the 4.0.

The shop manual lists 8 different factory spring codes for the front of the 98+ coil trucks. I have the code character list but have not been able to find a conversion chart that tells the rate corresponding to each code.

I've got the towing package on mine but I have code RR for my rear. Seems like i got the crap end of the stick when it came to my suspension since i got F bars too.
