Replaceing lower ball joints.

I am getting ready to change my upper control arms , but the lower ball joint has me a little confused. Everything I read tells of changing the lower ball joints, but never seems to mention the lower control arm bushings. Do they ever need changing? I have a 2WD 4 cylinder, just stock. Thanks in advance for the help. Skip

They will eventually wear out. What year is the truck? A little more info for us will help out!

The truck is a 2000 with 200k miles. Coil springs 2.5 four cylinder 5 speed and although it runs like a top, I feel like it is time to do some work on the suspension. Would the lower bushings be a lot of trouble to replace? ( I have a 20 ton press.) Like I said, Everything I have been able to find on the suspension shows replacing the top assembly and just the ball joint on the bottom. Just wondered if the lower bushings would have that much wear. Thanks again, Skip
