Alright yall im new to this site. First off i just want to say thanks for everybody that helps me. Ok I want a sas on my 2000 Mazda B4000, but i dont kno anything when it comes to it. so I was wondering if anyone could do it for me and how much it will cost minus the wheels and tires.

Wowzers. Many people on this site will HELP you not do it for you for free. Maybe provide drinks and food and have a good time. Just something to think about.

 

I am telling you right now if you have somone do it, it will be expensive! I would guess 80 hours labor at minimum.

I would guess 3 - 5 grand not including parts.

 

That's a pretty fair quote actually.

 

After seeing zabeards install. For his first time he got it done pretty fast. and he is alwys tinkering with it. Guessing for someone who knows what they are doing about 80hours. A truck lift shop maybe 60 at minimum. A Pre runner Front end kit, and rear deavers with bed cage I belvie was $3,500 to install from camburg and that dosen't have alot of welding to do. So I think closer to 5k would be a good guess.

My guess:

$2000 In parts ( I may be way off)
$4,500 for labor.

 

That actually sounds about right. It may depend on how much rebuilding your front axle needs and what you have to replace, but it certainly doesn't sound out of the question.

 

I think you are very close with the labor but the parts I would atleast double that.

I had 3k figured before I started and I have bought a ton of stuff that was not expected. I am sure I have over 4500 in it.

 

I think if you went with leafs though you'd save yourself a lot of money, no?

 

Oh a bunch no doubt. I bought several things that you dont "need" to get the job done.

I was not satisfied with my used Yota box so I bought a new one. $350 bucks

I did not like the body roll that I had with the swap so I bought Currie AntiRocks mainly for road worthy manners as its still a DD $400

I wanted stainless steel brake line, long ones to boot. $150?

I wanted the coil spring adjusters, needed? no not really but nice to have. (no ranger lean!) $3xx

Then I bought all those RE parts instead of making my own. Well you get the idea.

 

So bascially just save about $10,000 and you should be good.

you could get a new ranger and an early bronco as a donor truck and it'd work.

not to get off topic, one q tho, can you can use the stock p/s pump with the new steering box

 

I am using my stock Power Steering pump, it works decent.

I have a problem with the PS fluid getting really hot, need to fix that.

 

It really depends on how far you want to take it as to how expensive it is. If you leaf the front with a d44. It is going to be far cheaper then say if you a double triangulated 4 link with pissed off heims or johnny joints, coilovers and a D60. it all depends on what you want to do with the truck

 

i think i have about $2000-3000 in just parts alone. and i still dont have front axles,gears, hubs, driveshaft....ect. so figure that ill still have to spend around another grand to be done

 

IF it was a 97 or eirlier there is a completly bolt on application with a d44 Out of a 70's Bronco, F150 it is $1700 for the kit. and you could build an unlocked front axel for $500 that $500 includes the Axel. Providing you ae not shipping it all over the country.

 

my D44 was about $30 all said and done..

 

i want to do a full out hard core SAS when i do it.. that includes built D60s haha, im sure my price tag will be quite high
