Shackles... Towing?

Shackles... Towing?

Can i pull a trailer ok with shackles? Any Downsides?

i do but whne i lift my truck and if i use shackles will they effect towing?

I've never heard anything that says they would... how big a shackle you gonna run?

they alot like the ones that come with the RCD lift. it just seems like it would make it weaker or worse hauling and pulling. maybe im just thinking wrong

Nope. As long as you dont change the springs, it should have no effect on towing as it is the springs that hold the load, not the shackles.

I don't think it would hurt anything, as long as the shackles are made well. It wouldn't affect your spring rate or anything. I know I wouldn't think twice about it. I got the Chevy lowering shackles and used them for my trailer, they seem very well made, and I think they'd be fine for towing with if I had them on the truck.

90% of the aftermarket shackels are made stronger then the crap stock one's anyways. the ones on my splash rusted and broke go figure...
