Starting another swap...

And it starts with this:

TOYOTA TACOMA SAS HIGH STEER JEEP WAGONEER AXLE MARLIN CRAWLER

I'm calling the guy tomorrow...

Anyone wanna add to the list of things i'll need?

I'm also going to talk to a guy around my area that makes a custom kit to bolt on to rangers for doing a SFA conversion using leafs... So I'm gonna check that out..

Other than that, I need leafs up front, heim joint tie rods, drop pitman arm, panhard, shocks, brake lines, rear leafs and re-located shock tabs.. and of course new 37's... :)

The guys running leaf fronts (Randy), what size leafs did you run up front and what in the rear? Block? Shackle still there? I'm really trying to ditch the block and run shackle and leafs so I'm thinkin 4-5" lift leafs in the rear and 5-6" lift leafs up front.. Probably the AllPro or Trailgear setup.. Then once it's all in, get the driveline lengthened up front and an adaptive u-joint for the shaft to yoke setup. I'm just worried about the rear driveline being it's aluminum and being stretched too far..

im running rancho 44044's up front....waggy lift springs. i saw issues with the yota trailgear ones cuz our front ends are heavier...

in the rear i have custom alcans and a shackle...but id rather run 63's with new hangers and a shackle..

and ya...i still have my aluminum driveshaft... still works, no issues. so why change it? idk how mmuch lift i have honestly but its not enough to need a new one imo. i wouldntmind a steel one...but whatever.

and dude....you really dont need a "kit" made.

you just need your complete front axle...setup your steering for it...plate your frame...bolt on a steering box...steering shaft...weld on a hanger and rear shackle hangers....make driveshaft....done.

theres already a pic somewhere showing the fittings you need to adapt a yota box to our p/s lines, and mounting stuff is cake too. for your steering box...mount it as far forward as possible. easy as that.

i could edit this forever lol.
