steering issue
Hello Fellow Members! I have a 2004 Ford ranger fx4 4x4 4.0l . I just recently rebuilt my valve body, upon a test drive I experienced a severe shake at low speeds when turning a corner, so I jacked it up and put it on jack stands. I started it up and began working the steering wheel back and forth, I am getting a vibration periodically, it doesn't matter what way I turn sometimes it happens when turning right and sometimes left and sometimes not at all. I'm STUMPED. Any information regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Could be CV joint on front axle, is a boot torn or otherwise damaged?
Do you have a limited slip(L/S) rear axle?
And have you change the rear axle oil lately?
Ford L/S differentials need a friction additive so they can slip when going around a corner, causes a vibration if its locking when cornering
On back of drivers door is a Label with your trucks info
At the Bottom of the label is AXLE and a code number under it, Letter and number, like R6 = L/S , two numbers like 96 = OPEN << no additive needed

mine is the Level 2 if that helps. /I totally understand, but its coming from the front when the front wheels are off the ground, it still happens I can turn it back and forth sometimes it's when I turn left and sometimes left, and the odd time it doesn't do it. my power steering reservoir is full and no leaks , it happened once when hittingcorner a bump. , it shook like crazy and I pulled over. after taking off again it didn't happen until I slowed down and turned the corner. thanks in advance
