suggestions on brake pads?

just seeing what everyone thinks the best brake pads would be, i really need to replace mine, im not looking for something overpriced or anything like that, or something i need to order, just something i can pick up at the local auto parts store, im kinda heavy on the brakes and id like something that doesnt get brake dust all over my wheels like my current ones do, so, any suggestions?

I used to use the Vatozone crap and they worked just fine.

Cheap and they get the job done.
But I only change mine once a year ('bout 50K) no matter if they need it or not.

All brake pads are gonna produce dust on your wheels. ThermoQuiet pads imo is the best on the market. Average price is bout $40 for the set. Allthough, I have had FrictionMaster ceramic pads on my truck for a lil over 3 years now, and I am very pleased with them. Semi-metallic pads produce black dust, very easy to see on wheels. Ceramic on the other hand produces an almost white dust, and its not easily noticed. Motorcarft, I wouldnt. EBC are good, but most likley have to be ordered and are way more ecpensive.

all we use is the wanger ThermoQuiets also.... weve had great luck with them, autozone ones weve had come back several times due to noise (customer supplied part)

mine are squeaking now but the pads are fine, fairly new (got it used) so i think i will put thermos on there too

Within the past 4 months I put thermoquiets on all 4 corners. Wow! The emergency 120km/hr to a stop yesterday on the highway was a breeze. I love these pads. But they aren't as quiet as you might believe. Mine have alot of the metallic compound in them, so I hear em a bit more than OEM pads, but they do stop well.
