I was going to do a 1" BL, but I have been thinking about it and have talked with my buddies coming to the conclusion that I should do a 3". Since I'm going through all the work to unbolt the body and modify the front bumper, I might as well just ad a few other small steps and get another 2" of lift. This brings me to my question, I saw on summit racing that they have there own BL and also the PA BL. The summit one looks the same and says that it has the same stuff, but is it as good? I mean if it is just a replica then it should be the same quality right? I just wanted to know if anyone has this BL or knows anything about it in comparision to the PA. I mean the summit one is only $125 vs. $200. So what's the verdict?

Good question...same here.

Summit sells name brand stuff, under their own label. It may very well end up being a PA lift that's rebadged as a Summit lift.

On a side note.......Body lift threads in the Suspension category?? Wtf!? It's on here all the time.

Summit body lift is made by PA, just labled under the Summit brand.....

 

IMO a body lift is a body lift, just because they have different names doesnt mean theyre any different. The pucks are all made out of a hard plastic composite which is very strong. Now if you were to get a kit that came in a hockey box full of pucks with holes drilled in them and the only instructions you go twas glue pucks together then ied be worried. lol

 

I was thinkin the same was as your friend if your going to go through all the work you mine as whell go all the way and go with the 3in. I bought a summit 3in that I havent put on it prolly wont be put on until the end of the month so cant help you there.

 

when you guys do the lift did you have to extend brake lines or anything like that?

oh....okay. Yea....So I think i'l be buying that and keeping it around, and maybe install it. Still very iffy about a body lift, even though I already have a 1".

I put 32s on the truck, and I plan on a SAS in the future. and i REALLY wanted it to get a little bit bigger. Plus, there was very small rubbage of the inner fender. The lift was absolutely no big deal. A friend and I did it in a little over 3 hours, but there was alot of bullshizzing. $24 for the blocks, and $37 for the bolts. I am a HUGE hater towards body lifts because of my past solid axle experience. Suspension lifts are CHEAP for SAS yotas, chevys, fords, internationals, etc...

Had I bought 33's instead of the 32's, I probably would have gone with a 3" BL.

I wanted minimum, with out going with a three. Plus it makes the truck look stout, with out making it look like it has a lift:

 

i guess you do have a point, but how do u not rub? i tuck and rub mine all the time lol they arnt much taller, and are probably just as wide-- 285/75's

 

32x11.50 on 15x8 rims & 1" BL & torsion crank. It's all about the back space on the wheel. I ran 265/75R16s & stock rims with nothign done whatsoever. Did you crank them bars?

the front dont rub except for at lock.. the rears rub the fender and the inner wheel well
