Superlift, Shock hoops, Fox shocks.

Here's the deal, My superlift kit was delayed a month because Superlift didnt have the shocks for the kit.
Two weeks ago, superlift got the shocks in...They shipped it out.
My truck was torn apart at 8AM at the shop yesterday, the kit came at noon. The kit didnt have shocks with it!!

So here's what's goin down.... They are going to weld in shock loops out of
1 3/4'' DOM, .120 wall, and weld in a standard shock mount on the lower a arm. They are welding plate to the frame, then welding the shock hoop to that..
I'm using some Fox Shocks, as they arent much more than some good Bilsteins and screw it........
Now I wont have to get special shocks for this truck...

What do you all think?

Make sure the shocks don't have too much travel because if the suspension drops too low the CV will bind. You may need limiting straps.

Ill look into that. Does the rest sound like a good idea?
FOX RACING SHOX :: OFFROAD : NONCOIL :

Here's the shock, or something similair. It's a 2.0. Not sure of length yet.

They said it should hit the bump stops before the outer tube of the shock hits the CV. Hopefully alleviating the clearance issue.

Well if they know what they are doing then it should work fine.

The place has a good reputation from what I heard. They did Robert Ford (Ford's Ford) Dixon Bros kit, and he speaks highly of them.

So who else has a Level 2 with shock hoops and Fox?

none that i know of.

the new superlift kit comes with limit straps so you should be good.

the shocks used to be limit straps but not any more.

if the bumps hit like they should you will have a nice truck. Maybe even easy to swap coilovers.
