Ive done some research and everyone seems to agree that the sway bar drop links are CRAP. So im gonna go out and buy some universal links to replace the crappy ones superlift includes in there kits. I searched a little on summitracing.com and looked up some universal energy suspension sway bar links. I know energy is a good brand for suspension bushings and such, just wondering would this be a good replacement for the superlift crap links? Im assuming so but just want to be sure.

If it is, im kinda curious on which size to get. The links come in like 10 different sizes. What is the sleeve length on the Super lift drop links? Anyone ever do this? The engery drop links sizes range from 1.000in to 4.500in. Any help on this would be awesome, thanks.

PS: yes i want to hook my sway bar back up once i do this lift so im searching for more reliable drop links, thanks again!

It doesnt give me a lot of info on this product. Im wondering is 12" too big or is this a perfect size for the 4"in lift the superlift gives u. thx for the link

Yeah, 12" from swaybar to LCA with the SL. You can make a set easily for under $20 also. 5/8x14" bolts, 1" pipe, washers and bushings are all it takes.

 

that looks pretty cool.. Crazy that long a$$ pipe is keeping that truck from swaying hmmm.

 

The stock endlinks are just a plastic pipe. The ones I am using are much stronger in both tension and compression.

 

what is the part number of your bilsteins... thats what i want to konw, haha

 

I am assuming you know I just made some adapters to run stock length bilsteins. I have only been running them a few weeks now, but 1000x better than the SL shocks. Can't wait to get rid of the SL shocks in the rear now.

 

Hey Alex, got any pics of your adapter?? Can you seriously make links just using a bolt?? I bought a used superlift and the links are totally crap! Thanks for any help.

 

I used the stock rear lift blocks to move the bilsteins down. Cut off the bumpstops and alignment pin, then drill the blocks and bolt on. They are a perfect fit in the shock tower and correct extension length. Travel is same with the SL as stock so I don't think there should be any problems.




Stock is a bolt inside of a plastic tube. I replaced it with a larger bolt and steel tube and it has worked fine for me.

I used extra shock bushings for ends and so far they have held up fine for the last 8 months.
