Suspension Questions for School.

need some help guys, im going 25 short answers and im stuck on a couple.

1. Why do they install gas bags in twin tube shocks?
is this to help the compression by increasing and decreasing the pressure in the bag?

2. What is the difference between an emulsion and a non-emulsion shock?

3. How could you tell if the gasbag in a shock was damaged?

i also need another way a spring can bind.

anything helps, im just reading and reading my notes and books but im not sure if im getting it correct.
