The road home!

This is our road home today after the recent rains here in Paraguay. Some seek out these sorts of roads for recreation, but for us, it is just the road home! Enjoy!

No problem. The road is actually much worse than it looks. My wife insisted on getting out to video me comingup the hill. There are 2-3 foot ditches on both sides of the road so one wrong move and you have had a bad day.

So, we have had a couple of breakdowns since I was on here last. We had the water pump go out which took all day and three different mechanics to finally get everything right again.

Then yesterday the driver'side wheel bearing went out and we were stranded again! I hope this is the last thing that we have to fix for a while!

Had the oil changed today, here is a picture. I went ahead and changed the fuel filter too because from what I understand the fuel is pretty dirty here.

This was our view yesterday! We got there just as the sun was setting and watched it fall below the horizon!

Thanks, here is another picture for you. This is a bridge we crossed yesterday. Would you have crossed it?

Had to replace the driver'side ball joint the other day. Here are the pictures. The roads here are brutal. But now my steering is without noise and there is no squeaking.

We have had a ton of rain over the past couple of days so we have not been out because of the road. We are leaving later today so if the road is still bad I will snap some pictures! Happy Easter to everyone!

Ok, so we had a concert Saturday night and it was pouring rain Saturday morning and our drummer did not want to leave his house because it was raining. So, I went with his brother to pick him up and we put his motorcycle in the bed because he wanted to come home later that night. Little did I know that the road was going to be so muddy and flooded. This is the deepest water crossing I have done. Now I want lift because my heart was about to beat out of my chest. I just kept thinking that I was about to lose the truck!

I did not even know he was taking the video because I was so focused on driving! Anyway, here it is, enjoy!

Well, I had the oil changed today and the truck cleaned up. It was about time to get the truck cleaned after all of the rain and mud we have enough been having.

It couldn't meet safety standards.

Thanks, I am not sure why they did not bring it either at least in the 4 door model. This is the first truck that I have had. I always had an suv prior and I think that at least for what I do the 4 door truck is perfect. I am not sure about what is different as far as safety is concerned. It does have airbags at least in the front.

Nothing major today, but I did have some new headlights and fog lights put in today. I noticed earlier today that my driver's side headlight was out and the police are bad to stop you for that here so I did not waste anytime replacing it. There is no reason to give them a reason to hassle me.
