3in back spacing vs. 3.75in backspacing

So i want a wider stance than my 15x8's have to offer so im going to get 15x10's but i cant decide which bs i want. im leaning towards the 3in just because i think it will be alot but at the same time not too much. what do yall think?

It depends what too much or alot is to you. For me 15X10 w/ 3" backspacing is too much. I don't like them to stick out the fenders, maybe slightly but fairly close to flush.
If you like the tires to be a couple inches out or so then thats the combo to use.

The lower the BS the farther they'll stick out. I like them out far, go with the 3.

i think 3 inch BS would look kinda strange. I say just get the wider rims ans stick to a 3.75 or 4 inch bs. i have 4 and it looks perfect

I know the 3in would be wider than the 3.75. I just can't decide if it will make it look meaner or stupider. lol

Whats your current backspace? ProComp steelies that are 15x8 for a ranger is 4". The backspace on my current wheels are 4" as well, but 15x10. The extra 2" is added to the ouside....thus making it wider. I suggest 15x10 w/ 4" backspace. Reason being, the more out you go, the more weight is offcenter causing more wear on the ball joints. And it still looks good.

here's mine with the 15x10 ProComp 51 series w/ 4" backspace...
