Anybody tried the Kelly Safari TSR

Trying to get a feel for these tires. For those of you that dont know the short version is Goodyear is the parent company of Kelly and these are Kelly's version of the duratrac.
Looking to get 285/75/16 and was quoted $755 out the door mounted and balanced.
Anybody ran them or know somebody that has?

They look nice. I'm sure they are good tires. I used to have a set of Kelly tires and they were great.

hmm my tire guy must not have a good supplier for those. Usually he is pretty resonable.

Keep us posted, when my Liberators wear out I'm thinking of TSRs........ stock size it seems they only come in load range e but if I upsize to 265/75/16 I can get load range C... which should ride a little better......

if kelly is owned by goodyear and these are a duratrac twin, why not get the duratracs? i've been quoted $700 for the goodyears' in a 265/75R16 from discount tire. i'm not trying to bag on your choice here, just if you can get the good stuff for discount prices. why not go for it?

either way, they look beefy.

Well, they're not really a twin to the Duratrac, and they are about 195 a piece out the door here, mounted, balanced, lifetime rotation and out the door here..... so that peaks my interest...... but the Duratrac looks good too.....

the goodyear dealer here quoted me $900 or $225/tire. balanced and mounted. this is in canada. the closest discount tire in MI, like mentioned. quoted $700 or 175/tire.

i'd shop around if i were you. deals can be found.

Mostly because I was quoted 1080 for duratracs. That was the cheapest. You also have to remember Im looking at 285s. The safaris are back ordered anyways so I\'m on the look out for something else.
