Had the STT's on my old cherokee an a buddy has them on his 4runner.
Both of us were happy with thier performance but rather disapointed by the tire life.
I went from them to the khumo MT's. Huge difference in performance and while they were louder on the road than the coopers they made up for it off the pavement. Sold the jeep before I could see how long they lasted though.
My next set will be the khumo's

The S/T's are not the STT's so I'm afraid all the STT reviews are useless to you, lol. It's a common mistake.
I've had S/T's in two sizes: 31" and 35" and they were very good in both. Tire life is somewhere between an AT and MT tire and may disappoint you.
They're particularly good in snow for some reason, better than an AT for sure in all other offroading situations. They showed up BFG AT/KO's many times when I ran them.
If you are looking for a "compromise" tire between street and offroad, they're a great choice, IMO.
But the newer 3 ply sidewall designs like the Mickey Thompson ATZ's might suit you better if you're hard on a tire. Cooper owns and makes Mickey Thompson tires. I run the MTZ's myself but only for offroading. I run BFG AT/KO's on my truck for the street because of the long wearing of them.
