Need an opinion on new tires

It's getting close to new tire time and I'm not sure if I should stick with the Trxus MT's or to go with the Trxus STS. Thoughts?

you had/have the MT's right? How were they?
I might say STS just to see how they do. Can someone say guinea pig :p

The STS are supposed to do well in sand arent they? Or atleast be advertised to do well in sand...most of the Pines are sand - if you venture out anymore...so they may be good to try. If you're still just doing the shows, they add a unique look though the MT's are more aggressive looking. I would think the STS are better on road too. Arent they less $ as well?

I think the siping on the MT's would be more stable on wet highway roads but I like the look of the STS better...then again tires shouldn't be for asthetics

those sts are not that great in the mud at all...

i have a friend with them on his truck, and he regrets getting them[for mud]...

for the sand, though, they are supposed to do pretty well...

get the mt's...

Yeah, they look like they'd be racing slicks in the mud. No void!

i hear they do pretty good in dirt tho, alot of diesel pulling trucks run them.

i still like the looks of them. plus i have heard some good things about them in the snow and sand.

Good friend of mine has them on a k5 blazer, he regrets getting them. Says they get horrible traction in the winter,mud and only moderate on mountain trails (dirt and big rocks) he's going to gy mt/r's next month

the MT will give you more of an advantage that the TSL tires have, three stage lug, you have the nice side lugs, and good spacing on the inside ones. They look almost identical to the IROK'S. But as many have said, tires shouldnt be bought based on the tread aesthics. but on their performance, and between the two tires in question the MT's will make you happier.

IROK

as far as pricing
per 4WP
STS
31x11.50x15= $121
33x12.50x15= $132

M/T
31x10/50x15 =$115
33x12.50x15 =$139

also the M/T is a radial, so you may get more miles out of them than the STS. But whatever you do, dont get the THORNBIRDS, those things are horrible.
