Pro Comps A/T VS. BFG A/T
I dont have many pictures of the tread wear.. but here are some...
Here is one good close up, after about 30k miles... i got a chain link from work in my tire....
As you can tell, tons of tread left...
Here was a good challenge..... scotty's 2wd with BFG's and my 4wd in 2wd with pro comps....he got stuck and i had to pull him out....
Of course and A/T is going to gum up in mud but ive never seen a tire do it so bad (besides wranglers) than BFG...... the pro comp has more tread depth and cleans out the tread in snow or mud

BFG A/T's all the way.....i have had Pro Comp A/T's and they suck.....sidewalls bubble out and they don't last near as long as the BFG A/T's....i am currently on my 3rd set of BFG A/T's (2 on my Ranger and 1 on my mom's Explorer).....the 33's i took off my Ranger had roughly 42,000 miles on them....took them off, sold the to Bill (04lvl2) and he ran them for about 10,000 miles.....he took them off and i believe sold them to someone else.......
There's other threads, if you look it up a lot of people don't like BFG and at the same time a good amount do.
No doubt about it though, for being a market leader, BFG overprices their tires which is pretty gay.

Personally i dont like BFG All Terrains, i had them on my 99 sold then to Nick (monsterguy) and he hated them also, #1 because everyones got them, and #2 here in NH they really didnt impress me in the snow, ice and mud. Ide say Pro Comps, or even a Nitto Terra Grappler, Possibly a Mickey Thompson tire...all are relatively the same in price...
But your going to get 1.7 million different answers, its totally up to you, either are a good tire, check out the ones i mentioned also...go to discounttire.com

mud is a different story....you should know that an A/T tire isn't good in deep/sticky mud.......

even the smallest tire Pro Comp offers in an A/T (30x9.5x15) a BFG A/T in the same size is cheaper (Pro Comp A/T: $118.99 vs. BFG A/T: 117.99)

I hate messing with multi quotes, it confuses me!
All I ever counter that with is I'd rather buy neither, haha. Judging by my 35 inch Kumho Mud tires were 550$ for all 4

Something good...see thats the difference between a ranger and a BFG AT, a ranger is good, the bfgs suck. Almost everyone heres ranger isnt like mine thats a guarentee, i didnt want to be part of the stereotypical lifted with 35'' tires 99% most likely BFG all terrain or mud terrain. No Thanks.
I can go through 3' of unplowed roads too, dosent mean the tire is the best thing sence folded napkins
Mud you probably dont have any opinion on unless i see your truck dirty i wouldnt believe it anyways.
Have a nice day.

Have a nice day.BFG is one of the best tire makers in the world.....just because everyone wants a good tire, is that stereotypical? no, people just want something that last and has been proven to work.....
yes there is some newer tires on the market that also work, BUT why pay the extra money just so you can be "different"

actually there isn't much different to your Ranger than any other '99 on here except for the racing stripes....

No everyones to lazy to look for anything different, You can get a Nitto, Goodyear, Pro Comp, for equal or lesser value, but thatd be to much work.
I dont see to many 99's on here with the hood, or stock suspension, oh and the controversial visor, i stepped off the beating path with that and nobody liked that, theyde rather see it with the cheap body lift and 33's with huge fender gap with BFG AT or MT and Mickey Thompson Classic's
Oh and while were on the subject of being different, what makes yours so different besides the paint job that went out of style in the 80's? lol

Everyones opinion (including mine) is like an a**hole, everyones got one and most of them are full of s**t
