wow, whata bunch of babies.....

All over which tire is better..... you did this on purpose didnt you? lol

Basically it all depends on what you want to do with your truck, what size tire your going to run...

You put pro comps on one truck, and BFG's on another, see which one slides more in the rain, and gets stuck in the mud 1st, im 99% sure it will be BFG...

The ONLY thing i dont like about the pro comps are the side walls... they are thinner than the BFG's

it really isn't about the tire.......the tires are VERY compareable in tread design (not compound), it is more about the driver and the drivers capabilities...

Tis true.... Im not arguing, just stating that i like my pro comps better than BFG's...

It all depends on what he wants them for.....

And it does all depend on the driver, as ive been through stuff with my A/T's that my buddy couldnt with his swampers.....basically because his toyota got high centerd...

Haha BFG supports Hitler. Thats why I don't buy BFG.

Ohh and on pricing. The Bfg A/T in 285/75/R16 is I think around 70 dollars more than the Nitto Terra Grappler.

I'm on my first set of BFG A/T tires. I really like how well they perform in sand/snow/ and overall the desert. MY BFG A/T DO HAVE CHUNKS MISSING!!! I do wheel hard and I do spin my tires in the desert. That is not on purpose though. They just slip and stuff when climbing through tough steep trails. I have a few chunks missing from each tire. These tires only have 9k miles! I have only had the truck for 10k mikes and I got these shortly after I bought it. The terrain I wheel is rough, not just bumpy. It's all the jagged rocks and the ones with a layer of dirt on them which tear up my tires. If anybody wants some pictures of my missing chunks I would be happy to post them up. I like my tires but chunks missing when these are supposed to last a zillion miles isn't cool. All the reviews I have read made these tires sound bullet proof but wheel them where I do and these tires are made for a Civic. I'm not saying I'm a hardcore wheeler becasue I'm not, but the terrain is rough and I need some rubber that will own the desert like the BFG's do but won't lose rubber trail side. Would the BFG Muds be better, I've heard their compound is softer thus chunking worse than my A/T's????

^^ Bingo Bango. I'm on the same terrain you are and my M/T's got eatin up also. Right now I'm tryin to find a tire that this won't happen to. I'm told that the A/T's are less likely to have this happen because they don't dig as much but now A/T's can't handle this???? WTF Also I hate the bfg a/t. woot

I'm glad I'm not the only guy that wheels out here in the rocks and gets his tires eaten up. Let me know if you find some good tires that hold together after soem desert wheeling.

Thats a pretty black leaf ( might want to take a closer look at that one )

I think BFG's are over rated but non the less a good tire.

BFG makes a good tire.

You gonna be on the road all the time, drive in rain and snow on the road. BFG AT probably cannot be beat with the number of miles driven and the usage. the design works its been the same design for years.

Would I buy them? Nope.

Are the Pro Comps better? Doubtful. Would I buy them? Nope.

Just my Opinion but I would buy something other than those two.

This thread really went south....

I have no experience with Pro Comps, but my last truck had 70K on BFG A/T's. They seen allot of rain, snow, dirt, rocks, and towing. They held up great, and I never had any problems. The only negative I can think of is they killed my gas mileage between the weight and rolling resistance, but I am sure all tires like that do. That's all I will say because that's all "I REALLY KNOW"....

I have nothing bad to say about Bfg's...........but having owned a set of 32'' and 33" Pro Comp A/t's.....They are a good tire. As Maurice stated above, they are not a "mudding" tire. But will fair ok. Overall you can't go wrong in either set of tires......IMO

x2 Well said Beard (the point i was trying to get across), just because theres no reviews on a tire dont mean automaticly its junk
