my friends ahve these tires, they all run 40s or bigger tho
they love them, no problems either, not sure on the wear tho.

4wheelparts has them for that price. its like 598 shiped, so you still have to mount them.

also any 16 inch tire will be alot more than a 15 inch tire

My BFG at's have been great to me. If you are looking for all around performance they are the best bang for the buck.

Everyone has them because they are good tires.

Goodyear [I know, I know] Fortera.

Those are interesting, they don't seem like they would even be in the same catagoy as bfg at's.

actually now that you brng those up adam...

good year has come out with a new line called the slent armour line. they have fortera silent armour (seen above) and the wrangler silent armour which is very similar in tread desgn as the wrangler at/s's. the new line has kevlar reinforcment all around which makes them rde well and very pucture resistant. my dcsount tire store manager runs them on his truck whch might say a little somethng considering he changes tre types like every month and now hes had those wrangler slent armours on for a while.

eventually hear they will put kevlar in the MT/Rs which gives me a chub chub.

EDIT: also those forteras are more of an "SUV" tire, meaning mre on road dirt road every nce in a while. wrangler silent armours are more "AT"

im gona say that the BFG AT's are great..., but great until you are in sticky mud, then they turn to slicks, but they wear awsome and snow and sand are great.

im think'n of MTR's next maybe, some kind of MT cause i want mudd traction

but yes BFG's are spendy...but you get wat ya pay for

I've run BFG A/T's for awhile now, thru several mud trips and have gotten stuck a couple times. Once was because I sunk so low a hidden log grabbed the underside of my truck and the other times it was just too deep. Maybe 4x4 helps but these tires are fantastic in mud for an A/T tire.

What do I expect from a stock tire?! I expect good middle of the road performance, wear, value, etc. I got that from the Firestone Wilderness HT's that were OEM on my '99 Ranger. Why the heck shouldn't we expect the same from whatever's shipping on Rangers these days?

Raise your expectations man!
