Fixed My Heat!!!

i had no heat for the past month and its been around 30 degrees daily

changed thermostat
topped off radiator
got nothing....

i mentioned my problem to my grandad and he said to take it to the car wash and flush the heater core...

i flushed it and chunks came out

cost me a whole dollar and now i've got so much heat i gotta take my jacket off when i drive more than 10 min

just thought i'd mention this helpful hint to anyone having similar problems

nice you fixed it. trying get my head around this... so you disconnected 2 hoses that go to the core and stuck the high pressure washer wand into it and fired away?

+1, usually just flushing water in the opposite direction of the regular flow will work the parts out. Like cleaning a K&N or something, you wont blast water through the filter, you'll push the crap out the way it came in.
