1999 3.0 swap with a 1994 3.0?

Block is the same, you will re-use your distributor where the cam shaft position sensor is on the 99.
Use you fuel injectors too and anything else that's different.
You'll probably have to use your upper intake manifold because all the EGR stuff may be different as well _ EVAP system too.
The 99 will also have a crank shaft position sensor your 94 may not have, that will be omitted.
Just take all the bits from your 94, eg sensors and wiring harness and use that on the 99, changing thing over as necessary.

Leave note for yourself or next owner in the engine bay that its a 1999 3.0l engine, there are some different internal parts, head bolt length and valve stem size are two differences I can think of
But as Jeff R 1 said not a hard swap and it will work fine in a 1994
I would just plan on swapping over upper and lower intakes, that takes care of most sensors and controls, fuel injectors and fuel line connections
And easier to set up distributor with intakes out, put a cloth down in the valley, bolts and pieces like to fall into the engine and open intake holes, lol
