Blower Motor Leads..?

Hello......again................I replaced my heater blower motor and tho working, it seems the fan is not blowing out of the vents so I'm assuming that the fan is rotating in the wrong direction...I replaced it same as the original one, but this one is actually metal, not plastic and seems to bolt on the motor upside down ( in my opinion......)..Do changing the leads just causes the motor to spend in opposite directions and not blow something' up..?......

Yes, it is a DC motor so you can reverse direction by reversing polarity on the 2 wires

The blower motor gets full 12volt with key ON
The Speed control in that cab controls the GROUND to the blower motor

With blower on air will come out Defrost vent only if there is a Vacuum problem in the cab, then Vent(direction) control is done by engine vacuum from a Vacuum reservoir in the engine bay
A leak in this system is most likely cause of no air blowing out panel or floor vents
Defrost vent is the default(no vacuum) vent

Hey, thanks again RonD..So if I switch the leads, the blower should just reverse and blow the air into the cab instead of sucking it out..? ( as it seems to be doing now)...The fins on the blower will then correspond with the direction the motor is turning, counter clock wise.?..Thanks..!

The "hamster wheel" blower should suck air in from center and blow it out the sides

It sucks in air from the cab thru the hole in firewall thats closer to passenger side door
This outside air comes from a vent under the cowl, or there is a recirculation vent used for MAX AC that closes the outside air vent and sucks air from inside the cab

Then there is another hole in the firewall farther away from the "intake air" hole, thats where the fan blows the air to, if you have AC that air goes thru the evaporator first, then thru the firewall to where the heater core is, there is a Blend Door there to direct air thru the heater core(HOT) or around it(COLD), then air goes to the Vent system to be directed to defrost, panel or floor outlets

Drawing here of that: https://www.2carpros.com/forum/autom...gerFig01_1.jpg

Round hole is the blower intake air, rectangle hole is the Out to cab vents air flow, its a non-AC box, no evaporator
