The computer gets system voltage thru several wires, engine off volts 12.5v, engine running volts 13.5v
Computer has a monitor wire on the inertia switch wire that monitors voltage going to fuel pump from fuel pump relay
It compares these two voltages, if its off by more that 2 volts, low, it will set the P0231 code
So could be a corroded wire/connector, start at fuel pump relay, pull it out and check connections, also fuel pump fuse
That code would also be set if you pulled out the FP fuse or FP Relay and then turned on the key, because fuel pump would have 0 volts key on and it should get 12.5v for 2 seconds
Fuel pump couldn't cause P0305
It could cause P0316, random misfires, if fuel pressure was low, because fuel pressure would effect all cylinders
