I have an offroad Magnaflow (the one that cuts right under the cab) sounds really good for a 4 banger, think with a 4.0L will just meet your expectations... but at the end the best low tone sound you will ever get is from straight piping it but changing the whole exhaust diameter to 4" or similar, you can start with the diameter change just after the Cat...
hope can help.

i cut my cats off bcuz im in iowa so there is no inspections then i ran 3inch pipe out the rear it sounds really deep but i drove 200 miles every weekend and it does get annyoing but you get that nice race car sound when you stop on it (well at least with the 4.0l) i think straight pipe is the way to go. But i do agree the larger the diamete the better the noise

i got gibson duals and they sound decent you get a little rumble. and really its v6 in all honesty. and your not going to get a terrible amount of noise if your cats and in great shape. ive had my gibson set up for 8 months now i really like them it was cheap so easy to install and looks great. autoanything.com check it out....gl bud.
