Anyone try these speakers?

Anyone try these speakers?
I'm finally going to upgrade the speakers, and I have 2 sets of Rockford Fosgate P1683 speakers on order.
I'm just wondering if anyone has these set up in their truck? I'm curious how they'll sound.
Here's the stereo setup when it's finished:
Sony GT-51W Head Unit
Sony XM-4045 4ch Amp
Sony XM-10020 2ch Amp - Bridged to mono
4 Rockford Fosgate P1683 3way 6x8 Speakers
1 Rockford Fosgate P1S410 Subwoofer
1 Farad Capacitor
I'm wondering where/how to mount the amps and sub while still keeping the jump seats usable.

I've been running Sony HUs and Amps since the early 90s and have never had any problems or sound quality issues.
Without the cap, my power drain is too high ... lights dimming and the works.
Did the so-called "Big 3" upgrade on my last car with 0, count it "ZERO!" results, added 1 cap, dimming went away.
Now, with respect to my first question, has anyone tried these speakers? I'm still curious how they sound.

Thanks for the info about the speakers.

[QUOTE=platinum6316;1648108]Why do you say Sony is junk?
I've been running Sony HUs and Amps since the early 90s and have never had any problems or sound quality issues.
Sony seems to be kind of a hit-n-miss on quality, some people seem to have good luck with it, but most dont. so if it works for you, thats great. Personally I love Alpine decks,
I have had three of them and all have been awesome, and I am running two Alpine amps right now and love them as well. I run Rockford subs, I have listened to the Rockford 6x8's at the store, and thought that they sounded pretty good.

I personally don't think the sony HU is bad quality but I hated the layout of it and there are better options out there. I can't stand pioneers but I love kenwood decks. As far as the cap goes its up to you, I've never been an avid user of them but its pretty much just like a lake reservoir feeding constant power so there aren't fluctuations going to the amp and I don't find them necessary for most systems. Rockford stuff is always top notch though on a side note, subs and speakers, and amps for that matter. Well for the most part they are.

for headunits get urself a kenwood/jvc/alpine/pioneer
cheaper speakers - kenwood or jvc or pioneer
amps - dont get a sony.
for your draining problem. Wire your system up properly. the money you want to spend on a cap, spend on an alternator. search for korey89s write up on beefing up your electrical system. great write up.
do it right the first time. Sony is ****. good for listening to the radio, but if you want a deck capable of anything, look at your choices above.

Got the speakers today, and wired everything up. I think they sound AMAZING. I would definately recommend these speakers as a nice step up from OEM.
Of course what sucked was my old 4ch amp bit the biscuit (OK, I got the amp in 1991, so it really didn't owe me anything.)
And despite opinions to the contrary, I replaced it with a Sony XM-ZR604 4ch amp. 60w RMS and 110w Max per channel.
Perfect for these speakers which handle 65w RMS and 130w Max.
Wired it all in, set the amp levels, and I really like the way everything sounds.
Now for my next project: a good fiberglass sub box.
