2007 2.5 L TDCI Ford Ranger Noise
Hey folks,
Ive been lurking the forums for the longest time trying to identify the noise coming from my ford ranger since I purchased it. Ive searched continually through the forum but to no avail.
The noise I have identified only happens during when Im driving the car, at least from what I can hear.
The sound seems to be like a rattling sound thats coming from the engine department, While standing still and giving it gas the noise isn't apparent, When driving at lower speeds the noise doesn't come up from what I can hear but is most apparent between 2-4k RPMS and at higher speeds while the car is moving. No rough idle and seems to be more apparaent at the higher gears 2-5.
If anyone has any idea on how to best identify the issue without starting to replace parts please let me know, Im a bit worried it could be internal engine related but since its not having any issues that I can tell with performance Im beginning to think its maybe belt related but Im not sure and Im an idiot when its come to cars. Any help would be truly appreciated. Ill try to record a video to capture the noise in the near future and add it to this post.
