regear ratio questions
im looking at regearing my stock gearing is 4.10's the power loss with the 31's hasnt been to bad but any power loss with a 4 banger is to much using the online guides i figure 4.56 should put me back to stock but im thinking about over gearing it a bit to say 4.88's will this harm anything other than mpg's i know my rpms will be a little higher at highway speeds ill also be getting a tuner and i see there are different kinds of install kits what kind would i need full or minor
this is a few month down the road just getting ready to start saving up for everything

ok ima do some math
225-70r15=27.4(stock size)
numbers off of 4.10 gear ratio
27 inch tire=3325rpms
28 inch tire=3206rpms
3325-3206=119 divided by 10=11.9x4=47.6 round up to 48
3325+48=3373
4.10 gear ratio
3373=27.4 inch tire (stock rpms)
2896=31 tire
4.56 gear ratio
3213 rpms on 31's
4.88 gear ratio
3428 rpms on 31's
so should i loose 160 rpms with the 4.56 or should i gain 55 rpms with the 4.88 (as compared to stock)?
numbers based off of this chart and my math i understand 4.11 is not the same as 4.10 but its all i could find
