Leaking Rear Axle

I have a leaking rear axle, I am pretty sure that it is oil and was wondering if someone could tell me how difficult it would be to fix it and what parts I might need. I believe that it is leaking oil (smells and feels like it) so this brings me to the conclusion that its a bad seal??
The truck is a 2002 v6 3.0L
