01_ranger_4x4's F-150 build

I just purchased a 2005 F-150 Lariat crew cab 4X4 repairable and this is its rebuild progress thread. a little background, it has 49,321 miles on it, i got it for $5500 out the door, drove it 45 miles to my fathers shop where we will begin the rebuild shortly. the truck was a light roll, roof and box took the biggest damage, no frame damage. it tracks straight as an arrow and rides like a cadilac compaired to my ranger lol. heres a few pics of what im starting with:

and here are a couple cell pics of it back at my dads shop next to my ranger. it actually makes the F-150 look kind of small lol

looks like a good project and the only reason your ranger is taller is cuz the 150s roof is smashed down a couple inches

the bed i found is $1500, needs paint and thats it. it even has a line-x liner in it already lol. we are going to see what we can do with the roof and try to fix it. if we cant fix it itll get skinned or sectioned. not sure on cost yet for that and the other stuff like the grill, tailight, moldings, mirror, rear window and such will be another $1000-1500 for just parts. paint will be another $300 probably. im in no hurry to finish it so i will have plenty of time to look and find the cheapest used or new parts.

Yeah, it's definitely not because the Ranger is lifted and the F150 is stock height.......

So when's the beater up for sale?

Nah its the XLT. The wanted 3 grand more for the lariat and it was white which I didn't really want. It'll be one when I'm done though. Theres a Lariat full console on craigslist for 45 bucks I'm going to pick up this week and then just get the bumpers painted and I'm good to go.
