Has anyone ever built a grille from materials out of a Home Depot or home improvement store?
I was thinking about buying some mesh and attempting one but didnt know where to start.

I made this one from the grates that you put in lights for a drop ceiling. It costs like $11. The FORD letters I got off of a truck in the junkyard.

Click the image to open in full size.

The grille looks much better in person than in this pic.

Yep, I made mine and about 10 others for people on here.

Its a bit*h to cut the material I used to fit for the 01-03's -that's why I only made them to fit the 04-05's. However if you get some guttergard from home depot, it might be easier to work with. The stuff that I used to make my grille inserts was thicker.

If you do go about making your own, try to find an aluminum product so that it won't rust. If you have to go with steel, pick up a can of clearcoat spray paint and coat it so it lasts longer.

That it does, found out the header panel behind the actual grill is cracked too, but the inserts look like new!
