sound system help

Ok so I just bought myself a 10" Mtx w/bassworx box, mtx amp.
We are having troubles taking the deck out :( any suggestions?
also any other suggestions you guys have when installing a system in a small regular cab will help :)

what deck are you taking out? the stock one? you'll need ford keys to take it out.

you can get them at like walmart or wherever.

mine always sounds better with the windows down and i havent taken my deck out but did you get the keys? the little u shaped thingy that you push into the four holes on the deck the it just pops out

ford has that stupid anti theft thing either by the keys, use coat hangers, or the easiest way is take the dash apart and just push the two clips on both sides of the stock deck, and it'll just slide out.

If you make that hole in the floor big enough and close to the pedals, you won't have to stop as often on long trips.

the hole was for the ground wire.. its a must.
anyways guys the system is all installed and it sounds killer! I will post some pictures once I get a chance

why drill a hole? use an exsisting ground.

when i had mine put in they put a self tapping screw/bolt through the ground wire into the floor

when i did mine i used a bolt that already went through the floor....i used a seat bolt

you could also use an existing hole in the firewall. i did that in my golf. i cut through a rubber grommet that was there and fed the wiring through it. just make sure it's not the clutch pedal one or something else that is important.

you dont need ford keys for the deck i just used a coat hanger works great. But thats me.

lol at first we we're just using 2 straight edge screwdrivers to pry it out, then we butchered the **** out of it and we then found out butter knifes work great :)
