You have to redrill the bolt holes to a slightly larger diameter I believe.

MJones should have some info floating around here with his install.

I just mounted a set of aftermarket ones, and they fit perfectly. There is a MUCH easier way of doing the swap though.
If you look on the ends of the threaded self tapers which are on the newer style mirror, it looks like a torx bit. Take a reverse torx socket and back those self tapers out of the plasic on the mirrors. Then take a small angle grinder or whatever you think would work best and grind down the small plasic cylinders that the self tapers screwed into. I took them right down flush with the rest of the plasic. Next you just put the self tapers back in the holes(you may need to use a drill bit to get any melted plastic out of the hole, or to make the hole a little deeper for the self tapers). Once you have done that, mount the mirrors on the doors, it's as easy as that. No need to grind or drill your doors at all.

Hope this helps some people. I had read the write up on how to do it, and I was intending on doing it that way, but once I got to look at the actual mirror, this way was so much quicker. It took me a total of 15 mins to do the swap.

Whys that? Although on the new Rangers the chrome covers look stupid because there is very little chrome on the truck.

I just some '07 mirrors with chrome covers on my '94, and I think they look great.
