I took the lead from pin2 ( 3volts ) and ran a series circuit. 470ohm resistor to the voltage side of the led, then ran the the other lead to pin1 ( return/ground. Its the SAME things Griggs came up with. His is more .. ' prettier ' and probably more ' reliable '.
After I was done, I used conformal coating to make sure nothing could short out on exposed leads.
Took less then an hour to do everything including pulling the pods. I have a soldering-workstation with a ' Pace ' kit.. I was just feeling lazy

how long do you figure it took you? the right side of mine doesn't light up anymore, so i'm assumming the bulbs are dead.. i may just do this mod instead since i'm going to be in there anyways.

About 5 mins disassembly time.. 45 mins soldering ( over guessing on that one ) and a few minutes to put it back together. Wasn't hard at all.
