Best way to remove cig lighter?

Going to be stripping a radio bezel today but the left side 12v source / cig lighter is on there pretty well and I don't want to break it with channel locks getting it out. Whats the best way to remove it? I don't want to get brake fluid inside of it

I actually took mine off again today to repaint my radio bezel. Grab a pair of channel locks and grab it at the far end where the wires connect. The metal is thinker back here and wont bend as easily. Hell if you bend it i=I have an extra one you can have if you pay shipping.
