It's so many options out there for u and lowering ur truck dude its not even funny. U can go with the 2/3, 3/3, 4/5 drop, or even better just bag it.

96 has TTB (or for 2WD "twin I beam") type suspension. Same problems lowering those as raising them I would think. Camber issues in particular. Make sure you pay particular attention to how such a kit handles camber issues. Camber change in TTB type suspensions when lifted/lowered are more severe than in the 98+ SLA type independent front ends.
