Difference in these tires?

BFG #1
BFG #2
I can't figure out what makes them so different in price. The only thing I could even think of was maybe they are a different ply tire and have a better load rating but other than that I'm stumpt.

I think I have an answer. When I was searching for my BFG A/T tires I noticed that on discount's website they had 2 different prices, about 10 doallars apart for my tire size. When I went in to order my tires I asked they guy why they were different prices. He told me that BFG is switching something in the rubber compound. He said same tire and all but like the 2nd layer of rubber or soemthing is going to have a newer more different compound. I really wasn't listening closely but it had something to that effect. I hope this helps. The higher price is most likely the newer compound? or that is what it was in my case. He said that is why my stock size 255/70/16 is on backorder from BFG. So that is why I opted for the BFGs in 265 because I could have them in a week. I may be totally off for your situation but that is how it was for me. That os a really big price difference though, it makes me wonder. I would just call your local store or stop on by and ask them whats up. keep us posted because I want to know if the guy at discount was full of it or what.............................
