my body lift was a PITA to install myself, but it still beat paying the money to have it put on. dont let this thread fool you, its not gonna put itself on, it will take some work trying to get everything to line up right. but its not impossible by any means.

Mine was installed when I bought it but it rides fine, not really top heavy. The tires stick out a bit so that helps I think.

Very true.

Some of the things were difficuilt (like bumpers), but overall was very easy.

100x easier than my spindles.

I'd say it was about as much work as my AAL's, seriously. I used air tools for evertyhing, I use them every time I work on my truck.

I love the BL, it rides like stock, just 3" higher...nothign different.

I just put a body lift on my truck about a month ago, i don't think it was too hard. The only part that sucked was the cab bolts. They bolt down through into these threaded washer things which where a pain to hold with channel locks while someone else turned the bolt. That and i had a spray-in bedliner to cut through to get at my bed bolts. Everything else was a breeze.

I used oxy/acetaline....you can get by with a propane torch...either way it breaks the loc-tite loose.

I also had about 5 ppl working on my truck, and all the tools at my fingertips (including a drill press which I used for 3 nuts) so it was very very nice.

Yeah i have a small drill press that i used. The more help you have the faster it goes thats for sure.

It was just me for the most part except when i need a hand here and there, I asked my dad. I think that they are "in theory" supposed to take around 5 or 6 hours to do. Mine i think took about 10 but i took my time and didn't hurry.
