good afternoon, from what i read online and from what ive seen off of the M5R1 2.3l manual transmission and the FR3Z7003M manual transmission, the 2.3l ecoboost should be able to bolt directly to a M5R1 transmission. I know nothing about clearances for the stuff inside the bellhousing. the 2.3l ecoboost is based very closely or directly to the 2.3l duratec block wise from what i read online and i was wondering if anyone has attempted or completed this swap? if so, what fabrication if needed was done, other than changing the wiring/control modules out for the new engine. i currently have a 2011 ford ranger with the 2.3l and a manual transmission so im looking at potential easy swaps to do in the future.
