Hell it worked on Apollo 13.

Is there a Fram product that isn't cheap??

I have an 04 3.0L intake you can HAVE if you come get it. Make it work.

Wait, the MAFs are different for those right?

sounds like a stupid question i know, but would it throw a code related to the MAF since that part wouldnt be on? lol
I think you've come to the conclusion not to do this, but here's what would happen if you did.

The MAF sensor would read almost no air entering the engine (contrary to the actually large amount of air entering), giving you almost no fuel. Unless the ECU catches this and decided to run you uber-rich one of two things will happen.

1. Bad, your engine won't run due to lack of enough fuel to support combustion.

2. Worse, you run the engine ultra lean and burn up your pistons.

Plus you'd be pulling in unfiltered air, which could be no biggie or catastrophic, depending...

Does anyone know if the ECU would throw a code and causing the engine to go into a fail safe mode, and run rich on a calculated air intake based on engine displacement and engine speed?
