1990 cream puff ..few things going on
The first is that I am having the problem where I get one single start attempt, then nothing no head lights no dash idiot lights.
Jiggle the negative battery cable ... stuff comes back on. Negative cable on the way.
The other thing Id like to fix is the ignition barrel lock. There is no button on the underside of the column.
Do I need to drill this thing out .. or does pulling the steering wheel give you access to remove the ignition lock ?
Thanks fellas.

Yes, that sounds like a bad battery connection
No pulling of the steering wheel required, there will be a "button" but it will be in a hole
Look here: http://asavage.dyndns.org/ftp/Aerost...n_Lock_04b.jpg
Thats looking UP at the bottom of the steering column
There should be a hole in the lower plastic cover that you can put in a thin screwdriver or ??, to push in the button
Key MUST BE in RUN/ON to access button, so disconnect battery FIRST so you don't run it down or short anything, having to have key in RUN position prevents thieves from pulling cylinder without having the key
