2000 ford ranger 3.0

Hey all, I’m new to the forum. Planning to do a headgasket job on my 2000 ford ranger 3.0 v6. 8th digit of Vin# is V. I want to completely drain my block when I do a coolant flush before I start taking stuff off to get to my heads. Can anyone tell me where the coolant drain for the block is? I know there’s an Allen head screw beneath one of the freeze plugs by the oil filter. And on the passenger side there’s a square screw beneath a freeze plug as well. Are they both for draining the block? Or is one for oil and one for coolant?
