Only if the valve is closed

I would assume it would be closed when you unplugged it

Yes it says online its closed when the engine is off. Well **** if the fuel tank pressure sensor is bad i would have to drop the whole ******* tank ):

Your truck probly runs fine it just depends on how bad you want to fix it

im not an expert on evap systems but it seems like the logical diagnosis

I found something interesting on the live data. The voltage for the pressure was only going from 2.48V to 2.49v and that was it. That ain't normal impretty sure.

how many miles do you get in a whole tank of gas? I use 87 octane which is recommended by owners manuel. And I got around 50 miles for a quarter tank. That seems awful. Is that normal? This was city btw. Is there anything i could do for better milage?

I’m not sure what my mpg is but a bad tank pressure sensor can cause bad gas mileage you could also just your vent solenoid

You could reset your trip meter and see how many miles you get on a quarter tank. But i feel like these rangers naturally have bad mileage because they weren't meant for that. And idk what normal mileage is because i had the lean engine which was consuming huge amounts of gas. But go figure this morning check gas cap light came on with p0457 code. Means gas cap loose/off but its brand new so ):

I would say at this point in the diagnosis it’s time to call tank pressure sensor

it may be intimidating dropping the tank but I would just do your research and bet you could do it yourself

ofc if you didn’t want to you could prob pay a mechanic to do it for a decent price it prob only take an hour
