Icon9 2004 3.0 missing during mild acceleration

My 04 3.0 (auto) is missing or jumping during mild acceleration while cursing. It sometimes misses or jumps when pulling off. The check engine light intermittently comes on. I had autozone read the codes which indicated various misfires. I've replaced the plugs and wires with the correct OEM parts. This helped a little, but still jumping. Any thoughts or recommendations? I don't want to quest-replace a bunch of parts if i don't need to.

Any advise is appreciated.

I would put a can of seafoam in the gas tank, I do this once a year to clean up the injectors.
Could be dirty injectors are leaning the mix a bit on acceleration.

You can get $30 bluetooth OBD II readers for a smartphone, then you can check on fuel trims and various sensor voltage/levels while you are driving.
Google: OBD II bluetooth

Update: I replaced the coil pack and the problem was fixed. I followed the guidance found in the following link to isolate the problem. I hope this helps others.
Part 1 -How to Test the Coil Pack (Ford 3.0L, 3.8L, 4.0L, 4.2L).
