3.0 coil pack wire order
3.0 coil pack wire order
So according to my Haynes manual the engine cylinder numbers go 123 from front of the engine compartment back on the passenger side, and 456 on the driver side. The manual says the cylinders correspond with the coil pack 123 from front to back on the passenger side, and 564 on the driver. But my truck has always been hooked up with 123 on the driver side and 465 on the other side instead of 564. Has anyone else seen anything like this? I tried connecting my wires the way the manual says but the truck wouldnt even run.

26 25 62 "
15 14 41 "

the diagram i tried to make didnt come out well. imagine those numbers as 3 columns, each column made up of 3 sets of 2 numbers. The first column is the diagram of the coil in my manual, the second column is the engine cylinder order, and the last column is the way my coil pack is set up
Thanks! I hooked up my truck in this fashion and it finally got rid of my misfire. Why would the haynes manual show the wires set up as if the coil was turned 180 degrees around? Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?
I was just going to ask this question, but decided to look first. Thanks a lot N20-3.0 for the pic. That is a life saver. I had my wires going 456 on the coil. Now I know I need to switch the two. The pic will help me put my vacuum hose and heater hoses in, as there were when built.
