abs light
always happens when it rains or snows
Hmmmmm. Not very experienced in this section but the only time I ever had that problem I had a leak in my rear brake. It was raining I had to stop quick and lost brake pressure and the light came on.
Check your brake fluid to make sure its not low. If it is fill it up and keep an eye on it. My understanding is it should not be low unless its leaking because its a closed circuit right?

i would be leaning more towards the wheel speed senosr then. and all your doing is resetting the abs computer and thats why it shuts the light off. probably the best advice would be taking it to a dealer and having them read the abs code

your front wheel speed sensors are on the wheel bearing hub unit. and i doubt they would mess up from dirt being on the toner wheel, because its a pm setup. your rear wheel speed sensor is on the rear diff on the top of the pumpkin. as for replacement i don't know if the fronts can be changed with out the wheel bearing being replaced as well. the rear can be replaced though.
well I crawled under the truck and found the harness.. used a 10 MM socket nd unscrewed it.. cleaned it with conatct cleaner and hooked it back up.. went for a short ride and NO LIGHT... ill report back later and let you know!
On the brake locking , does it usually happen right after it rains ?
That's 'normal' on Fords .Try a different brand of rear shoes.
