Post Advise on getting the lower intake off a 92 3.0.

I got all the way down then the distributor has got in the way of the last two bolts. Will I have to remove the whole distributor or can I just take the cap off the get them out.. I don't want to have to worry about have to realign it and timing.. Please tell me their is a way around it. Thanks guys.

Just pull up the cap, rotate crank manually until rotor is pointed at #1 spark plug wire, then line up TDC mark on crank to 10deg Before TDC.
Mark distributor housing and block to line up later and mark upper distributor with mark to where rotor is pointed.

remove distributor
don't rotate crank, until distributor is back in place.
Distributor gear and cam gear are angled, so when you pull out the distributor the rotor will turn, that is normal, and when you put it back it will turn the other way.
As long as you have the rotor lined up with the upper mark you will be fine.
