I have a 1994 Ranger, and the A/C will not shut off. On the dial that controls the blower for the HVAC, when you push it in, the orange A/C light will turn on and off, but the compressor still stays on. I can out the blend switch in any position and the A/C still stays on. Anyone have any ideas on what this can be?

That is for a 2000 Ranger, and mine is a 1994. On a '94 there is already a switch that is to turn the A/C on and off, but on the '00 there is certain blend settings that turn the compressor on and off. So, the thread that you posted, really would not apply to the issue that I have. Thanks for the help, but it didn't answer my question.

And as far as "search is my friend", I did search and I did read that post, but again, it would not help me in my situation.
