My check engine light has been on since i hit a tree in my truck in January,but it only dented in the passanger front fender between the fender flare and headlight. It crushed what looks to be a vacum or something but the sensor is fine. Im wondering what it is and if it could cause my check engine light on. btw if i take the positve battery cable off it stays off for about a month or so. Any help would be great.

No i havent scanned it but i can get it scanned tomorrow since ill be going to a local shop tomorrow.

Well i didn't get it scanned today but i fixed it. I went to the junkyard and pulled that vaccum thingy off another ranger and it fixed it so thanks for helping rob.
