Check Engine Light
Check Engine Light
My check engine light came on last week. I got the code for it at autozone and they said the EGR valve flow was insufficent. What does that mean? I have it scheduled to go into the shop next week to get the valve replaced.
It could be a few different things but the odds are 99%+ that it is a bad Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) sensor that measures the EGR flow rate. Approximate price for the part is $40~$100 and it is not difficult to change.
It is extremely uinlikely that the EGR valve itself is causing this code.
